Description:
Vanam Connect is a voice-enabled digital platform designed to connect agroforestry producers, especially indigenous and forest-based communities, directly with consumers and tourists. The platform removes barriers such as low digital literacy and language limitations by allowing producers to interact using voice commands in their native dialects, which are then mapped into Malayalam and other languages. Vanam Connect enables fair market access, product authenticity, cultural tourism experiences, and knowledge sharing through virtual classrooms. By reducing dependence on middlemen and building trust through transparency and verification, the platform aims to restore dignity, improve income opportunities, and promote sustainable agroforestry livelihoods.
